No Rhinoceros' were harmed in this image, me and my family got to participate in chipping the horn of the Rhino which is to protect them against poachers.
Present: Chemistry was not my initial degree path when I enrolled in university. Originally I chose biology. During high school I had a very hands-on internship at a small town veterinarian clinic and I felt this was the right degree for my ambitions of being a veterinarian. However, my plans quickly changed after a single semester of general chemistry. I found that university provides an opportunity to freely explore all avenues of interest and mine moved beyond biology. I discovered that chemistry provided explanations to the universe we live in, the ultimate curiosity, and I was hooked. Currently I am only a few weeks away from being the proud holder of a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. I credit my current self to the culmination of my experiences, interactions and education. My work ethic is not limited to school as I hold high standards in all aspects of my life. I think very analytically, adapt well to changing circumstances and can apply my training and knowledge in seeking out answers.
Future: I feel we are all lifelong students that should be continually striving to expand our knowledge, experiences and skills. My goal is to attend graduate school and obtain a PhD in biochemistry or nuclear chemistry. I also want to further develop my skills and experiences by traveling and trying new things. Science is an endless field of curiosity for me so naturally I gravitate toward the studies of the universe, and with my unique experiences overseas, I have learned the importance of building bonds and connections with my fellow human beings, in order to reflect, learn and build upon.
